From Cormag001's 'World Cup Coverage' thread in the National Team section. Looks like that result didn't go unnoticed Emerald.

Qualifying Group G
Canada 28 - Ireland 56
Switzerland 21 - Finland 0

This one has to get some attention. The 8th ranked Canadians not only lost, but were blown out of the water by the Irish. The heavy under-dog Irish team put up over 600 yards of offense on the way to a stunning 56-28 win. The Irish players were surprisingly calm after the game, as if they expected to win. "We're pleased with the performance, but we've got a long way to go yet." Irish QB Fergus Burke said. Switzerland won as expected, showing that great defense still exists and shutting out the Finnish team.

That was a nice write up overall by Cormag.

That win will count for nothing though unless we back it up with another victory on Friday. A win against the Swiss and we will never have a better opportunity of qualifying for the WC.
