I've got my second match coming up soon (a friendly, so nothing crucial).

I've made plenty of changes to the squad, axing a few players in their 30's with poor stats, but this has left a couple of gaps in my match tactics.

However, the game will not let me fill the gaps in my roster on the match tactics section, because the "Orders Deadline" has now passed. This has left me with gaps on the playing field, which pretty much reduces my planned tactics to ashes.

Does this mean that the game engine will now automatically fill the vacated positions with the most appropriate player, or will I now play the game with men short?

So I don't make this error again, when is the "Orders Deadline"? I don't recall seeing any reference to it in the rules.

aehm...the server is on CET/CEST, this makes it 2 hours ahead of GMT in the summer, and 1 hour in the winter

I've never seen the server time more than an hour different than GMT time, that includes around Christmas time when I joined, and now in summer.

It's all that fiddling around with the clocks - put the clocks back in Autumn (Fall) and forward in Spring. Should always be an hour different. It's always time for a beer though.
