I thought the rules were 7 on the line of scrimmage, at least one RB or FB and a minimum of 3 O-linemen including one centre.
I'm presuming that there were 3 O-line,2 TE and 2WR on the LOS i.e. 7 in total, and the other WR's were set back from the line i.e slot receivers.
So, I think it's a "legal formation" for this game ...but obviously a pretty weird one in real life, there's the obvious concern that your QB would be wide open to a right pummeling !
