Does anybody know the optimal distribution of seats?

Example
VIP boxes : 10%
Exec. boxes : 20%
Seats : 70%

Also, what should the capacity of a division IV team be?

You have everything in Help/FAQ section.
But generally, stadium size for level IV should be 42-50000.
Maximum number of seats for longer stands:
350000
2500
1000
Maximum number of seats for end zone stands:
25000
2000
750
You can count percents by yourself.

I know the maximum levels from the FAQ section. But does this mean that your optimal stadium needs appr. 90% seats, 7% executive boxes and 3% VIP boxes? Let's say you have a 10k stadium. Following this logic, you'd need 9000 seats, 700 executive boxes and 300 VIP boxes.

Anyway the first seats should be executives. They give the most income for money spent, and no one seems to have build them out or not having enough attendance. We can wait with this discussion for at least one season

No one has had that problem this far and since you are fairly new like me, it should not be a problem this season

As far as I understand, if you have less than maximum seats built, their proportion do not influence the number of spectators, but no one can say it for sure (except admins) because no one has built too many seats yet.

I think I understand what the OP is asking. He is asking for attendance reasons. Everyone will fill a set number of seats +/- a couple % based on some factors you find in the FAQ. Weather, winning streak, league, etc... But you could count on filling at least 30,000 seats I'd imagine. If those seats are all executive seats... all the better.

Tahl is correct. until you hit the attendance cap the people will fill any seat that is there.
