I play for the NTU Renegades and the Peterborough Saxons in real life, just wondering if there are any other players here?

I did try out for a local team in the early 80's but I'm too old now. Even when I was younger I just couldn't cut it - shame as I absolutely love the game.

That's a shame!
If you are still interested in being involved you should look into refereeing. They are always desperate and it is paid.

Not any more, too old. Started out in 1984 with the then Northwich later to be Manchester Spartans. Moved to the Manchester Allstars for 1985 finished playing at end of '86 season i think.

I remember the all stars and the spartans. I played at youth level for the Birmingham Bulls but that was a long time ago

yeah we used to have a good side at all levels.

I remember the spartans and all stars. I was gutted at Crystal Palace when the spartans turned us over in the final.

I'm going to try out for the Glasgow Tigers in January (I move there in a couple of months)

Pity they didn't make the play-offs this year
