The admins have stated that height effects a QBs vision in the newer versions for the game. Until further notice though, we just won't know how much effect it is.

Where did they state this is what I meant to ask...

I thought that they said that the height of a QB mattered relative to the height of the OL. In other words, if you have a short OL, you can get by with a short QB.

We know absolutely nothing absolute about engine 3. ALL old admin posts were specifically in regards to engine 1 and engine 2. We can speculate that many things will be similar, which I assure you they will be, but as far as height/weight for positions, especially when considering the offensive line for engine 3 has been reworked entirely, one should not assume anything.

As far as to the main points of what was said about engine 2 in regards to height/weight:

Does height also affect other aspects of the game?

Administrator wrote:
Yes, there are some slight benefits to being higher than your opponent when trying to catch a ball that isn't directly on target - is slightly higher/longer. And as mentioned height also has a small effect on speed and agility.

Administrator wrote:
The biggest benefit (as mentioned in the news) is to vision checks - but even that one doesn't mean that a QB that is 5'11" can't have an excellent pass percentage - he just needs to work harder.

For eg blocking / getting off one requires lower center of gravity. So will my OL who are just 6'10 let the DL through because they have a higher Center Of Gravity because they cant crouch lower than a 5'10 DL?

Administrator wrote:
I hope this part wasn't a serious question

Administrator wrote:
But to answer, no, your OLs won't let the DLs through just because they are smaller.

Administrator wrote:
The scrimmage line "clash" will be simulated much more precisely than it is in the current engine. There are second by second calculations so that we can see exactly what is happening there. Players mass is important in this (besides all the skills that we already use in the current engine), and that is why a high player has a bonus on the line - he can have a much greater mass compared to the shorter ones.

Administrator wrote:
But (before someone says we treat all the people on the scrimmage line the same ) you must remember that different positions are treated differently (even in the current engine). So a Nose tackle uses a different set of skills than the End (not to mention TEs or LBs) and the skills needed can outweigh the benefits of the mass.

Id pick the shorter QB as your number 1 QB as his a little smarter and more intelligent theres not much difference in height between the two QBs so my opinion id pick 5 ft 8in QB

If those are your only choices, I'd go with the 4.5* talent for QB. It would be a joke to consider a 4* player over a 4.5*-5* player. BPOS is the most important thing in the game at this time
