Hi all,

Just getting to grips with the game. It has been fun so far.
I'm just wondering if it's worth actually keeping hold of youth players when you're in a lower league. I don't have upgraded training or staff so is it worth keeping hold of youngsters that I won't be able to train to their full potential and instead cash in quickly?

I got lucky in pulling a 16 y/o 4.5 talent whom is also a massive 6'9".
Simon Simmons - Is it worth selling him now or training him and risk his price going down as he ages?

i think you did good by putting him on the list! you'll get good money for him that you can extend your stadium with...

put money in the stadium and buy a decent 16 yr old instead!!
i think money is more important while still in lower leagues...
but that's just me ....

Thanks for the confirmation. I was questioning myself and just went for it anyway to see what I could get.

2nd question;
I've heard people say that it's often not a good idea to get promoted and just build your stadium first.
Is it bad to go for promotion whilst you're building your stadium? Do you not get more money playing in the higher leagues?

i wouldn't say it's bad to get promoted....it's a good thing to build a solid team and focus on economics in the beginning but if you happen to get promoted - great!
the income is different - of course - but not as much as expected...so relax. focus on stadium first and then build a team slowly...watch your salaries as they are really becoming a factor.

and btw you should create an ad in the "community" - "ads" section....advertise your player since he's really good and you want people to know!!

Thanks again.

I had recently off loaded my QB for 250k as he wasn't as good as my TE in that position (skill wise). Will have to wait for the cool down for creating a new ad. Shame you can't remove previous adds and create a new one - although I suppose that stops you from bumping your ad to the front page every day then.

I would do but I have an old ad on there so can't create a new one yet.

Shouldn't you be telling me otherwise so you can get him for cheaper

This is not my style!

There are enough dodgy guys out there doing so...

...so first bid is placed - paying money for a good player to a "young & new" team is always a pleasure...

...as long you use it wisely expand your stadium and dont overpay for crap players on the transfer market to some managers promising you they are selling "only the best available... bla bla..."

Ooo, I didn't know it was done by a time before they expired. I thought it was a maximum number of posts shown thing. That is very helpful thanks.

Now I have 8 minutes to decide a funny/witty/eye catching post to grab the attention of those with money.

Good luck to you with the bidding. Not come across a dodgy player yet so far. My fingers are crossed I'll spot them first and not lose out.
