Depends on BPOS. If he has 2 stars in DL and only one star in OL then it will take appr. 20 games. 10 games per half star.

But that is just BPOS and people can argue how much it influences the players ability to actually play that position. Even in real life Fullbacks can play Quarterbacks on mediocore teams.... Not that it helps his play or ability to play Quarterback.

I'm not sure where you are coming up with this "10 games per half star" deal. It's actually quite random and while it may appear on average to take about 10 games, it can also happen more rapidly. I've had one player change position from safety to CB in 1 game. My personal theory is that there are points behind the scenes, that nobody can see. For example, let's say you have a 5* talent player that currently has 1* bpos at WR. Each game he plays, he as a certain chance to get 1pt (bheind the scenes). Once he has received the necessary points, he will gain 1/2 star. Let's say you are changing that WR to CB and he has only 1/2 star bpos for that position. Since we can't see how many points he may have already "behind the scenes," it's possible to change positions in one game or it may take 10 or more. I think it's similar to the 100 points needed to move up one point on skills only the bpos points are not guaranteed with each game played

I think the BPOS points earned per game are guaranteed, assuming 100 pts to increase a level you earn 10 pts per game. However the starting point is unknown being anywhere between 1 and 100 based on the random number of pts assigned when the player was created.

As such it can take anywhere between 1 and 10 game to reach the first incremental increase in BPOS but from this point it will take 10 further games for each additional increase.

Well, that's the beauty of the game, everyone has their ideas. I'd say your example is valid and possibly the way it is too. However, you are now assuming you get the same bpos whether you play league games, cup games or friendly games. I can tell you my guys that play league games gain bpos faster than the ones doing only friendlies. Perhaps they get 20 pts for league or cup games? It would be nice for the admins to confirm the method for gaining bpos, I really don't see why they can't share that

Well they'd have to read this first!

I track this for all players playing all games I haven't noticed any difference in the rate BPOS builds whether playing league games or friendlies. Your correct in stating that I cannot claim this as fact though and it certainly wouldn't suprise me if on occasion it works differently. Look at the wonderful Kicker TC bug!

There are certainly bugs, that wouldn't surprise anybody. I have one CB that has gone from 1.5* bpos to 4 this season, playing in only friendlies!

I know it is random, but mostr of my guts gain 0.5* BPOS playing 10 friendlies only.

And 7 games if only playing League games.

I think BPOS increases the same as experience, as explained in the FAQ.

It's probably something very close to that with a bit of random bugs mixed in

I'm not sure why your testing appears to be random. Maybe there's an issue that affects some teams in this regards, but I've been able to accurately predict when each of my players gains a .5* positional rating for over a season.
