Does fatigue affect players during the game? or just from one game to the next? Is there a downside to giving the ball to your best RB on every single play?

If they've got low stamina their performance will fall off in the 4th.
Probably not best to give one running back the ball every play unless they have high stamina.

Do we know it is only in the 4th? I'm asking because 3/4 of plays with a 1 stamina might not be horrible if they've got great stats. Could be worth the lack of production in a single quarter. Has anyone noticed a steadied rate of decline as the game is played or only in the 4th?

I think the assumption on the 4th Quarter is based upon the fact that most Touchdowns are scored in this Quarter....

I would say it's probably a little bit of decline in every quarter.
Like guru said though, most touchdowns seem to be scored either early, when everyone is fresh, or in the 4th. I would say that the fatigue happens all game, but it shows up more in the 4th, with the more conditioned team getting the benefit.

I think it indicates a fact that defense requires more stamina. If it was an overall lack of production, I'd say it means what you say. I've noticed that as a game goes on, the plays are more effective for offense, due perhaps to a wearing down of the defense.

Valid point...I was going to jump in and argue about 3 and outs producing tired defenses but the more I think about this the more sense CG makes
