No free rides sorry. With UK Finland and Australia all 3-2, and Mexico 1-4, Mexico could just pack it in against Finland, which gives Finland the easier ride to the next level. I don't see the UK going easy, as a loss for them will see them out also. Australia will have to bring their A game to defeat the UK. We need a win!

Pop the champagne and pouring the beers ... Australia will be thru to the next round

I wasnt entirely happy with our performance, particularly in the first half where we didn't cash in our chances when within 25yards of the line on a couple of drives and went into the break 14-0. However we did outscore UK 24-21 to end the game 11 points down and certainly not disgraced.

Thanks to a great performance from Mexico in the other game, Australia can now reassess our first round performances and hopefully surprise in the 2nd round.

Nice work. Glad we are into the next stage.

Probably would look at kicking FGs versus punting the ball on the 24/25 yard lines out. Mason has enough skill to go for it up to 45 yards out.

Somehow pulled UK again in the 2nd phase. Aswell as other notible strong teams.

Vs Denmark was closer than the score looked. Run out of time in the 2nd quarter with 6 yards left. And gave up a TD after a interception left their offense real close.

Return will be close. Just gotta knock Serbia on the head and already proven we can match it with the UK.

I don't understand why Australia is not taking Field Goal opportunities when inside 25yards as per the orders. GI glitch ??!!
