ok, so I got the message after last weekly update I was below the -400,000 and to get out before the next week. Between friendly and home game i have 1 million in the positive. My salaries, coaches, facilities total 1.5 million. Due to real life complications I haven't been able to look over the roster and start selling players. I will be selling them shortly (about 30 of them), but it won't be in time for the update. So...if I go back below the -400,000 again after being above it at the update will I lose the team?

As long as you're above -400,000 next week at update time, you're fine for another two weeks. You can't be below -400,000 at the update two weeks in a row.

You got the message last Wednesday? The 16th or 17th?

Even if you put players for sale now, it wouldn't be soon enough. You might need to sell your stadium to avoid going bankrupt. :/

Alright, here's what I'd do after actually looking at your team and spending some time thinking about it:

If you sell your stadium, you're going to have to sell all your good players, meaning you're starting over from scratch.

Instead of that, assuming I understand this right, here's what I'd do.
You say you're 1,000,000 in the positive right now. You say your salaries are normally 1.5 million. This would put you at -500,000.

So, find 200,000 on your roster to fire. I'll leave this up to you, but I'd start with older players and work your way down. Fire anyone with less than 3.5 stars of talent. Keep track of how much salary you've got rid of. Once you've fired everyone with 3 stars or less of talent, if that doesn't add up to 200,000, then start firing older players that won't be with you in a few seasons anyway. Keep doing this until you hit 200,000 worth of fired salaries.

Next, sell players. You don't have a home game this weekend, which means you're in trouble again in two weeks if you don't cut costs and get more income. Figure out who you want your starters to be and keep a backup for each position, then sell the rest.

That should be enough to keep you solvent, at which point you can start worrying more about winning games again than going bankrupt.

Good luck.

I want to ad 1 thing.
Fire that Gunner and that Kick returner that have a big salary. They are useless in this game anyway.

I agree with firing all players under 3.5 talent first, if you have any.

Something else to think about, if you fire the National team players, they will not retire, but will go on the transfer list. This saves you about $240,000 in salaries. You might be able to buy them back after the update if you want. Either way, you should then have time to sell more players and make some cash off of them. This is if the above mentioned $200,000 cut will be enough to save you.

Good luck.

yup left it too late to start selling players.

another option to save some weekly expenses, is to sell any constructed buildings.

and fire staff.

thanks for the replies! I only have 4 players under 3.5 stars. I sold my youth academy and training hall to get me through this week. Training hall was killing me with those high salaries. lol. I'm not going to win my division this season, so I don't mind slowing down a bit on training as I have many already up there. I will start selling players off tonight. About 30 overall. Most are 4 and 3.5 talent so I should be able to bring in some money and get rid of salary.

That isn't their positions they are going to play. One is an Oline and the other is a WR.
