okay thanks I was just wondering. Thats still stupid tho, because your team can get worse because of age and other aspects within a year.

So should the team that is at the top of the TD at a given point in the season compete for the iron bowl?

An example would be the Champions League, the best teams play in it the next season, depending how they did, doesnt matter how they are doing this season.

Lol, you use soccer as an example for an American.

I like how it is now...the only way it would work like the OP seems to want it to is if we put everything else on pause and run the AFLC after the "regular season."

(Go Chelsea and Leeds United, btw!)
