For info, I fired my doctors, and for the first time in several weeks (since I hired my doctors in fact...) I have no injured player this week.... conclusion : Doctors = Injuries !

How much do level 20 doctors cost each week? I suspect you could keep an extra decently cross trained backup for about the same price until you get skills at very high levels.

20 doctors = $45K per week.

that is 5x extra 10 or 11 skilled players as back ups.

or having a 13 passing backup QB instead of a 10 passing backup QB, $22K vs $9K. still have $32K spare for other positions.

i am doing that instead of having doctors.

Still a massive drop from a skill 18-20 QB to skill 13 QB if he gets injured for a longer period. It can decide leagues. Are you willing to gamble on that?
