I know they were talking about making it so buying the latest expansion would unlock all previous expansions. If they did that, then it might be worth it. They've also added mercenaries, which weren't there when I quit. Basically, if you're a tank, you can hire an NPC healer to group with you. This is great for someone starting out because it's hard to find groups at low/mid levels now.
