Yes, this was posted to announce Sleuth's return to the game. Was bumped when it became clear he was going to be promoted from our division to top div.

Cool. wrll super sluth, you may have mafe TD at the right time. we dont know what the new engine will bring and how it will effect our league. I also looked at your team and its gonna be tough for you. maybe the new engine can help. the team to watch out for is the steel city rangers. I wish you the best of luck.

Will be difficult to displace any of the regulars in TD. Same teams have placed 6th and 7th the past 3 seasons, so the newer teams will need to have a good crack at them if they wanna stay longer than a season.

Season 11 may bring some big surprises if managers are not ready for the upcoming changes.

Nice to see this thread get a bit of new life.

I'm under no illusions that the Top Division will be tough next season and that I am as likely as not to get relegated again, unless a few teams go bot (which often seem to happen when my old Shaky Islanders were up there).

At least I shouldn't have the financial problems I did before, having been much more careful to save and build up my stadium. Indeed, I'm increasing its capacity to 30,000 right now, and all the VIP and executive boxes are maxed out.

There are some good young players in my squad, but apart from a couple, they're not nearly ready for top-class competition. One day I think this team could be a force to be reckoned with, but that won't be next season. Still, it'll be interesting to see how I manage to get on. I guess the main aims will be survival (i.e. not being demoted) and trying not to get beaten up too badly by the big guns!

We qualified for the last World Cup. Remind me where the Aussies were in that again?

As for the Top Division, both the Super Sleuths and Dunedin Huskies are leading their respective divisions, so we should both be back next season. Although I'm a bit worried about the Huskies, as they've sold their enormous stadium, which means they're in financial trouble (and also means NZ's games will be in another stadium this season). If they go bankrupt, the NZ team is pretty well had it unless they make sure to sell their international players and keep them in human teams.

I assumed the were attempting to go bot. Selling stadium before players wont fix income issues.

Luckily for NZ, those players will still be around for a least another season if they go bot. Just no increases in training.

Great to see the Sleuths going strong in their division. See you next season.

And good Cup run this season also.

eidt// Huskies have 2 away league games currently. Now I see whats happening.

After two years and a bit, the era is over. I've managed to run another team into the ground financially.

I have been trying to sell off assets and players, but the players in particular haven't fetched nearly as much as I hoped for. The Norwegian national quarterback with 20 passing and 19 vision, for example, only went for a little over $115,000. Utterly pathetic for a player of that quality. I realise now I should have sold off more players sooner rather than gambling on a small number of high-quality players bailing me out.

Anyway, I'm now selling most of my team off - too late to save them, but there are some quite good players and I'd like to see them go to human managers rather than be stuck in a bot team. Naturally, that includes all the national players.

I've decided not to sell off my stadium, as I think I'd still be below the limit after the wage update. Anyway, it would only be a temporary stay of execution, probably. People who are lucky enough to draw my bot team can get a nice little bit of income.

I don't think I'll come back a third time. To be honest, I'm a bit bored with this game, having played it for about five years (two teams combined). The only thing that's kept me interested has been coaching the New Zealand national team. My favourite memories in this game are associated with that team rather than the Shaky Islanders or Super Sleuths. I will always remember the upset over the USA very fondly, and I'm also proud that I managed to qualify for the World Cup twice, and the victory over Poland is another special memory. It's a shame that there's no one else who will probably take over the NZ side. That's my one regret about not returning. But I think it's now time to move on.

So goodbye and God Bless. Maybe I'll see some of you around in TeamHB (where I seem to manage to stay afloat - helps that I'm more successful there than I have been here!).

(That's the closest I can get to a "waving goodbye" emoticon.)
