Here are my cup round 6 projections:

Minnesota Storm Vs. Safugnoff Eagles
56-0 Storm. I may be going a bit hard on the Eagles, but I just really don't see them winning. The Storm have been powering through opponents while I have beaten the Eagles 14-7!!! Dewey Juan has been doing well, and they're bidding for a very talented QB (some guy named Feliks)! Raleigh Sallee and Newton Thurman are a dynamic running duo. Luie Thorne also has been doing well at WR. I'm just pretty sure this one's the storm's.

Oakland Desruction Vs. Winnipeg Rifles
42-17 Oakland. Well, Franklin couldn't knock out Winnipeg (much to my dismay), but Oakland really looks unstoppable. They reached No. 1 on merc's NA list, though that list didn't do to well in round 5 going 1-4... However, Oakland has really established themselves, mostly with there running game between Fred Barrera and Cameron Chauvin. Ther defense also has been explosive. Winnipeg did look good in there finishing of merc's No. 3 ranked Franklin 35-17, but Oakland looks like they're just to much.

Toledo Rockets Vs. Montreal Marauders
27-14 Rockets. I absolutely can not choose a bot over Toledo. One of the few owners honored to have had an interview with Merc, he buys, buys, buys. Shaun Cole is someone who people would like to have handling the ball, but Jason Weilland going 10-22 for 219 yards and a TD was something that made him wanted on many other teams! Sure, the marauders beat out the Laval Superstars and Nicolas Curtis who were 4th on Merc's list, but I like the Rockets.

Teufel Hunden Vs. Arsenal Gunners
31-14 Teufel. Levi Bickford (QB) and Paul Merry (WR) led Teufel to a 28-21 victory. Meanwhile, nothing in general led Arsenal to a 7-0 slugfest win against Defiance (probably what happens to Buckeye fans). With Levi Bickford Teufel has a very helpful thing: A passing game! Teufel's looking good for this one. Note: Right after beating them in the cup, Arsenal has another game against Defiance!

Forest Park Rangers Vs. Gila Monsters
21-17 Rangers. Ok, lets face it: Harris Spruill and Rudolph Rains aren't your QB's that you want. So, It's really Carson Klatt Vs. John Ceballos. The Monsters did look better last match, but most bots just are that way. In non-bot matches the Rangers have looked very good, with a crushing defense and a nice offense. I'm not taking anything away from the Monsters, but the Rangers look like they could win a tight one...

Montreal Alouettes Vs. Poo Choo Express
31-13 Poo Choo. The Alouettes rushing Vs. New England was... underwhelming. They scored 14 points through tossing it, and so did Poo Choo. However, Poo Choo went 5-16 for 144 yards Vs. Alouettes 5-28 for 156 yards. Poo Choo had a better passing game, so I think they've got this won...

Reservoir Docs Vs. Boise State Broncos
27-14 Reservoir. Boise knocked out Merc's pick for the cup winner with 0-8 passing, and minus a 75 yard run, Boise's leading rusher had 10 rushes for 38 yards. Meanwhile, Reservoir's passer went 10-29 for 278 yards and for rushing there RB had 18 carries for 75 yards. Note: Reservoir just knocked out Brute, who has an upcoming league match Vs. Boise!

Inferno Utd Vs. Seattle Shazam
20-7 Seattle. Inferno's QB went 0-16... His QB had 4 rushes, 2 of which were TD's. Minus a 72 yard run there RB had 7 rushes for 2 yards. Seattle on the other hand, had a QB go 12-38 (counting overtime) for 296 yards. (Counting overtime) there RB had 30 rushes for 149 yards. Also note that Seattle beat H-Town, Merc's second ranked team, in overtime. I just can't see Inferno winning...

So there's my list! All feedback is appreciated!Last edited on 2008-11-06 at 2:05

Great writeup!

Thanks for the well-wishes! I will however point out that I haven't actually bought too many players once I realized the team chemistry problem. I will admit I went a little nuts for awhile but it was only b/c I didn't have anything else to do. Now all I do is bid once on players I like. If I get them then it's but if I don't it doesn't bother me.

I realized that having a very small team is a very good thing right now. I'll be purging at the end of the season to make sure I get the most out of stadium enhancements. I still think that an all iron-man team is the best way to go right now. A group of awesome old guys should start in big games while you groom your young hopefuls with friend;ies and small games.

Well anyway, good luck to all still in the cup!

Well done sir! I like the analysis! Though I think Boise State could give me fits. For the record in internet football type games I am 0-6 versus teams named boise st.

Thanks, but I tthink your curse Vs. Boise St. is as good as over. 0-8 and one big play convinces me to put you down a notch on my analysis...

Watch out for Inferno UTD and the Arsenal Gunners. They're both in my league and they both have great defenses. Not saying they're going to win this week, but I'd expect them to hang in.

Of course, I'll be the first to say that my team isn't near as good as it's 9-2 record or score differential due to all the bots I've played. But I don't think I've played defenses as good as theirs up to this point.

That being said, how do you like it in general?

Your projections? They look pretty good, even the teams that I just said to watch out for. I'd have to say I agree with every team you picked to win, there are just some score differences. But those are opinion and hard to predict.

Overall, great job!
